Laws regulate the hours of many clubs that serve alcohol. Most night clubs close between 2 and 3 am. Last call is when the bartender is ready to serve the final round of drinks. This is generally 20 minutes to a half hour before closing. Once the bar has officially closed, the lights come up and the band or DJ goes home. Many people are not quite ready to end the evening. Instead, groups of people from night clubs flood the local restaurants that are still open. They chat and have an early morning meal while they socialize. This continues the party atmosphere and gives the clubbers a way to finish up their night.
